Telangana NMMS Exam Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Telangana NMMS Scholarship 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Qualification:
- The candidate must be a student of Class 8 in a recognized government, local body, or government-aided school during the academic year 2024-2025.
- The student must have passed the Class 7 examination with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PH candidates).
- Income Limit:
- The annual income of the student’s parents should not exceed Rs. 3,50,000 from all sources.
- Reservation:
- Reservations are applicable as per the state government norms for SC, ST, BC, PH, and minority students.
Telangana NMMS Scholarship Exam Pattern
The NMMS Scholarship exam is divided into two parts:
- Mental Ability Test (MAT):

- Duration: 90 minutes
- The MAT section tests the reasoning and critical thinking abilities of the student through questions on analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figures, etc.
2. Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT):

- Duration: 90 minutes
- The SAT section evaluates the student’s academic knowledge in subjects like Science, Social Studies, and Mathematics as per the syllabus of Classes 7 and 8.
How to Apply for Telangana NMMS Scholarship 2024:
Mode of application is online. Students who are seeking NMMS Scholarship they can apply online on or before the closing date of 11-09-2024. Official website to apply online is bse.tealngana.gov.in.
Submission:
- Submit the filled-in application form to the Head of the Institution (Principal or Head Master) before the last date.
- The Head of the Institution will verify the details and submit the application forms to the District Educational Officer (DEO).
How much is the TG NMMS Scholarship Amount?
- The selected candidates will receive a scholarship amount of Rs. 12,000 per annum (Rs. 1,000 per month) from Class 9 to Class 12, provided they meet the renewal criteria.
Application Fee:
Rs.100 for OC, BC candidates
Rs.50 for SC, ST and PH candidates.
Selection Process for TG NMMS Scholarship 2024:
- The selection will be based on the merit of the candidate as reflected in the NMMS exam. The candidate must score at least 40% marks in both MAT and SAT (32% for SC/ST candidates) to qualify.
