Local Candidate Reservation Rules

Candidates applying for Telangana government jobs must prove their local status to claim reservation benefits.

To be considered a local candidate, applicants must submit:

Study Certificates

Candidates must provide study certificates from Class 1 to Class 7 issued by:

  • Government schools
    or
  • Government recognized schools

These certificates confirm the candidate’s educational history in a particular district or zone.

Residence Certificate Requirement

If a candidate did not study in any government or recognized school during the 7-year period, they must submit a:

Residence Certificate

This certificate must be issued by the Tahsildar of the concerned Mandal to confirm the candidate’s residence during that time.

This document helps authorities determine the candidate’s local status for reservation purposes.

Importance of Local Reservation in Telangana Jobs

The local reservation policy ensures that job opportunities are distributed fairly among candidates belonging to different regions of Telangana.

This system helps:

  • Promote regional employment opportunities
  • Reduce migration for government jobs
  • Ensure balanced recruitment across districts

Many Telangana government job notifications including police, group services, teaching, and other departments follow this reservation system.

Conclusion

The Telangana Local Reservation System introduced through GO Ms No. 124 (2018) plays a crucial role in the recruitment process for government jobs. The state is divided into two multi-zones and seven zones, and candidates must prove their local status using study certificates or residence certificates.

Understanding these zones and eligibility rules is very important for candidates preparing for Telangana government job notifications.
