Telangana MBBS Admissions Web Options Available Till September 29

The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has issued a notification inviting web options for admission to MBBS seats under the convener quota in Telangana. The registration for web options will begin at 6 AM on September 26 and close at 6 PM on September 29, 2024.

Eligibility and Categories

Students from the following categories are eligible to apply for the convener quota seats:

  • All Students
  • Differently-abled students
  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)
  • Children of Police Martyrs (PMC)
  • Children of Military Personnel (CAP)

These seats will be filled in government medical colleges, private unaided medical colleges, and minority/non-minority medical institutions in the state.

Merit List and Seat Allotment

The merit list of students who have already applied is available on the official KNRUHS website. Students who are allotted a seat can download their allotment letter by paying ₹12,000.

The fees for convener quota seats are:

  • ₹10,000 in government medical colleges
  • ₹60,000 in private medical colleges
  • ₹1,00,000 in ESI colleges

Students who were not allotted a seat in the first round will not be eligible to participate in subsequent rounds. Additionally, those who were allotted a seat in the first round and fail to join the college will not be eligible for counseling in the later rounds. All admissions and seat allotments are subject to the final decision of the High Court regarding pending eligibility cases.

Seat Availability and Final Merit List

The seat matrix for convener quota seats in government and private medical colleges is now available on the KNRUHS website, with details on the number of seats available for each category. Special emphasis has been placed on the quota for EWS seats across seven medical colleges.

Convener quota seats will be available in 34 government medical colleges, 22 private medical colleges, and 4 Muslim minority colleges across the state. The final merit list of 16,694 applicants for convener quota seats has been published. Students included in the merit list must select their preferred colleges and register web options accordingly.

Important Points to Note:

  • If a student is allotted a seat in a medical college during the T-round and does not take admission, they will not be eligible to participate in further rounds.
  • Students can select as many medical colleges as they wish while registering web options.
  • In minority medical colleges, convener quota seats are reserved exclusively for Muslim minority students, although they can also apply for convener seats in other colleges.
  • Students will receive a six-character password via SMS for accessing the web options.
  • A printout of the web options should be taken and kept for reference.
  • Seat allotment notifications will be sent via SMS to the registered mobile number.
  • Original certificate verification will take place at the respective medical college.
  • Fees paid to the college are non-refundable.
