Telangana Anganwadi Jobs Interview Process
The Telangana Government has officially started the recruitment process to fill 15,982 vacancies in Anganwadi Centres across the state’s 33 districts. The recruitment drive includes 3,100 Anganwadi Teacher posts and 12,882 Anganwadi Helper posts.
The Department of Women Development and Child Welfare has already identified vacancies under various ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services) projects and is issuing district-wise recruitment notifications. While some districts have already released notifications, the remaining districts are expected to announce them shortly.
Interview Introduced in Anganwadi Recruitment
For the first time, the Telangana Government has introduced an interview component in the Anganwadi recruitment process. To facilitate this, the government recently issued GO Ms. No. 4 permitting interviews and GO Ms. No. 6 specifying the selection criteria and marks weightage.

Telangana Anganwadi Selection Process 2026
The selection of candidates for Anganwadi Teacher and Helper posts will be based on the following factors:
- Marks secured in Intermediate (10+2)
- Weightage for special categories
- Performance in the interview
Marks Weightage

| Orphan Candidates | 10 Marks |

Candidates will be ranked based on the total marks obtained through the above criteria.
Interview Process
For Anganwadi Teacher posts, interviews will be conducted by the District Selection Committee (DSC) under the supervision of the respective District Collector.

Candidates appearing for the interview can secure a maximum of 10 marks. The interview marks will be added to the academic and category weightage marks to prepare the final merit list.
