Educational Qualification
Anganwadi Teacher Qualification
Candidates applying for Anganwadi Teacher posts must have passed Intermediate (10+2) from a recognized Board or Institution.
Anganwadi Helper Qualification
Candidates applying for Anganwadi Helper posts should have passed Intermediate (10+2).
However, if eligible Intermediate-qualified candidates are not available in a particular area, candidates who have passed SSC (10th Class) may be considered for selection as Anganwadi Helpers.
Local Candidate Requirement
To be eligible for Telangana Anganwadi Recruitment 2026, candidates must be local residents of the ward, village, habitation, colony, or locality where the Anganwadi vacancy exists.

Reservation and Special Eligibility Conditions
Eligibility for SC Localities
For Anganwadi vacancies located in Scheduled Caste (SC) localities, preference will be given to eligible local SC women candidates residing in the concerned area.
Eligibility for Tribal Areas
For vacancies located in Scheduled Tribe (ST) habitations, Tribal Thandas, Gudems, Tribal Settlements, and other notified tribal areas, only local ST women candidates belonging to the respective habitation will be eligible to apply.
Gender Eligibility
As per Telangana Anganwadi service rules, the recruitment is intended exclusively for women candidates.
