TG TET Notification 2024 Update: TGTET New Notification Today

TG TET January 2025 Notification: The much-awaited TG TET Notification 2024 is going to be released today. The Telangana School Education Department has finalized all arrangements for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), set to be conducted online in January 2025. This will be the second TET exam this year, following the announcement in August’s job calendar. The government had initially indicated that TET exams would be held twice a year, and this notification fulfills that promise.

In May 2024, around 2.35 lakh candidates appeared for the TET, with 1.09 lakh successfully qualified. This time, due to the recent completion of the DSC (District Selection Committee) process, a slight decrease in the number of applicants is expected. The online exams will require sufficient slot availability, with officials planning for up to 10 days to accommodate all candidates.

Eligible candidates for TET Paper-1 must have completed DED, while those applying for Paper-2 need a BED qualification. The TET qualification is also essential for in-service teachers aspiring to be promoted to school assistant positions. Since its introduction, this will be the tenth TET exam, marking the sixth since Telangana’s statehood, with a notable second exam within the year under the current administration.
