Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Candidates should have obtained the qualification on or before 29 July 2026.

In addition, applicants must possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving Licence as on the date of notification. The driving licence details must be produced during certificate verification.

Age Limit

Candidates must have attained 21 years and should not have attained 25 years as on 1 July 2026.

Age Relaxation

• SC / ST / BC / EWS – 5 Years
• Ex-Servicemen – 3 Years + Service Rendered
• NCC Instructors – 3 Years + Service
• Telangana Government Employees – Up to 5 Years (subject to conditions)

The Telangana Government has also enhanced the upper age limit for uniformed services by 5 years as per the applicable Government Order.

Telangana Fire Department SFO Salary 2026

Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of:

₹38,890 – ₹1,12,510

Apart from the basic pay, employees are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Medical Benefits, Leave Benefits, Uniform Allowance, and other Telangana Government allowances.

PMT (Physical Measurement Test)

Male Candidates

• Height: 167.6 cm
• Chest: 86.3 cm
• Chest Expansion: 5 cm

Female Candidates

• Height: 152.5 cm

Eligible Scheduled Tribe candidates from notified Agency Areas are entitled to relaxation in physical standards as per the official notification.

PET (Physical Efficiency Test)

Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Written Test will be called for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Only candidates meeting the prescribed physical standards and qualifying in the physical events will be eligible for the Final Written Examination.
