TGPSC HMWSSB Manager Exam Syllabus Pattern

TGPSC HMWSSB Manager Syllabus 2026 is prescribed by the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) for the recruitment of Manager (Engineering) in Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB). The written examination consists of two papers: General Studies and General Abilities, and the concerned engineering subject. TGPSC HMWSSB Manager Exam Pattern 2026

The TGPSC HMWSSB Manager Engineering examination is an Objective Type Written Examination consisting of 450 marks. Paper-I carries 150 marks, while Paper-II carries 300 marks. Each paper has 150 questions and 150 minutes duration.

Paper-II is the Concerned Subject paper and is conducted in English. The notification provides separate degree-level syllabi for Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering & Information Technology, along with the relevant Electronics and Communication Engineering syllabus.

Civil Engineering Syllabus

Major topics include Building Materials and Construction, Strength of Materials, Theory of Structures, Cement Concrete and Steel Structures, Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics, Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering, Estimation & Costing, Construction Management and Surveying.

Mechanical Engineering Syllabus

Electrical Engineering Syllabus

Important areas include Electric Circuits and Fields, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Control Systems, Electrical & Electronic Measurements, Analog & Digital Electronics, Power Electronics and Electric Drives. The syllabus includes topics such as network analysis, transformers, DC machines, induction motors, transmission systems, protection, feedback systems, electronic devices and converters.

CSE & Information Technology Syllabus

The CSE/IT syllabus includes Probability & Statistics, Set Theory and Algebra, Linear Algebra, Combinatorics and Discrete Structures, Graph Theory, Digital Logic, Computer Organization & Architecture, Programming in C, Data Structures, Algorithms, Theory of Computation, Compiler Design and Operating Systems.

Electronics & Communication Engineering Syllabus

TGPSC HMWSSB Manager Syllabus 2026 – Important Details

Candidates should prepare both Paper-I and the concerned engineering subject in Paper-II. Paper-II carries twice the marks of Paper-I, with 300 marks out of the total 450 marks. The detailed branch-wise syllabus is provided in Annexure-II of the official notification.
