Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree awarded by any university established by law in India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Candidates with higher qualifications are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit
Candidates must have attained 21 years and should not have attained 25 years as on 1 July 2026.
Age Relaxation
- SC / ST / BC / EWS – 5 Years
- Ex-Servicemen – 3 Years + Service Rendered
- NCC Instructors – 3 Years + Service
- Telangana Government Employees – Up to 5 Years (subject to rules)

Telangana Deputy Jailor Salary 2026
Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of:
₹38,890 – ₹1,12,510
In addition to the basic pay, candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Medical Benefits, Leave Benefits, Pension Benefits (as applicable), Uniform Allowance, and other Telangana Government allowances.
PMT (Physical Measurement Test)
Male Candidates
- Height: 167.6 cm
- Chest: 86.3 cm
- Chest Expansion: 5 cm
Female Candidates
- Height: 152.5 cm
Relaxation in physical standards is applicable to eligible Scheduled Tribe candidates belonging to notified Agency Areas as prescribed in the notification.
PET (Physical Efficiency Test)
Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Written Test will be called for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Only candidates qualifying in the prescribed physical events will be eligible for the Final Written Examination.
